Halo 5 Firefight Trailer
Halo 5 is about to get a whole lot more exciting in the coming weeks when we see the return of the much loved Firefight game mode to Microsoft’s premier First Person Shooter. Firefight first hit Halo with the brilliant ODST expansions and was both immensely challenging and great fun requiring teamwork and coordination to survive. Firefight took a massive leap forward with Halo Reach which built upon all the great work and ideas in ODST and added new mechanics, rewards and a massive amount of unlockable kit and commendations. Firefight kept me coming back for months after i’d completed the campaign for the 4th and final time.
Halo 5’s Firefight mode is another evolution of the concept and one that feel entirely in keeping with Halo 5 making use of the REQ System and Warzone maps and this time allows for teams of up to 8 players fighting through waves of ever tougher enemies. The REQ system seems perfectly suited to Firefight mode rewarding risk with powerful weapons and Vehicles to combat the ever increasing enemy numbers and Bosses that return from Warzone. Not much has been shown off so far but a brief trailer has aired from the Halo World Championship 2016 finals and offers a glimpse into the big summer update.
