Halo 5: Cartographers Gift Expansion
December will see the second Halo 5 expansion since it’s launch. Entitled ‘Cartographers Gift’ we finally get to play in the new and vastly improved Forge mode, a new Warzone map ‘The Battle of Noctus’, a new Arena map ‘Overgrowth’ and new Req, armour and weapons. As Microsoft promised all the post launch DLC will be free and so far they are keeping their promise. Amazingly the Halo Championship prize pool has exceeded 2,000,000 dollars funded in no small part by the purchase of in game Req Points.
Forge could be the shot in the arm Halo needs and keeping up the steady flow of new content could help prolong the shelf life of Microsoft’s big white hope. Hopefully 343 will keep it up and providing sharing all the excellent user created modes and maps will be as easy as Halo 3.
